Man Arrested for Attempted Chain Snatching in Chennai

On Monday, the Madipakkam police arrested a 25-year-old man, G. Udayakumar of Srivilliputhur, for attempting to snatch a gold chain from a 67-year-old woman, G. Lakshmi, in Puzhuthivakkam.

The incident occurred when the elderly woman was in front of her house, and the man approached her on a two-wheeler under the pretext of asking for directions. He snatched her gold chain and attempted to escape, but the public intervened upon hearing her cries for help, leading to the arrest of the suspect.
