N. Korea fired 2 short-range ballistic missiles

North Korea has conducted a missile launch, firing two short-range ballistic missiles into the sea, as reported by Yonhap news agency on Wednesday. This comes shortly after an American nuclear-armed submarine made its first port call in South Korea in decades.

South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) confirmed the launch, stating that the missiles were fired early Wednesday from the Sunan area in Pyongyang. The missiles traveled approximately 550 kilometers (340 miles) before landing in the East Sea, also known as the Sea of Japan.

The launch has raised concerns over regional tensions and highlights North Korea’s continued missile activities.
