Bangladesh’s dengue death toll increased to 185

The death toll from the dengue outbreak in Bangladesh has risen to 185, with a total of 35,270 cases reported this year, as stated by the Directorate General of Health Services (DFHS). In the past 24 hours, nine more deaths were reported, bringing the death toll to 138 for this month alone.

The number of dengue cases in July has surged to 27,292, compared to 5,956 cases reported in June. Within the last 24 hours, there were 2,293 new dengue cases, with Dhaka recording the highest number of infections at 1,238.

On a positive note, 27,622 dengue patients have recovered after receiving treatment from various hospitals across the country from January 1 to July 24. The authorities are closely monitoring the situation to control the outbreak and provide necessary medical assistance to those affected.
