Napoli Secures Champions League Spot as Serie A Battle Continues

NAPOLI HAS secured a spot in next season’s Champions League after winning 3-0 against Pisa. With one round left, they are guaranteed to finish in the top four of Italy’s Serie A league.

Meanwhile, AC Milan and Roma also won their matches, putting them on 70 points each. They are now tied for third and fourth places. Juventus and Como trail behind with 68 points and cannot catch up to Napoli’s 73 points.

In their final games, Milan will face Cagliari, while Roma plays Hellas Verona. Juventus visits Torino in a derby, and Como travels to Cremonese.

Inter Milan had already secured the Serie A title three rounds earlier. They celebrated with a parade through Milan after beating Hellas Verona 1-1 in their final home game of the season.

Christian Pulisic helped AC Milan win 2-1 at Genoa despite missing their last match due to injury. He came on as a substitute and scored in his first appearance since December.

In Rome, Roma beat Lazio 2-0 in a derby that ended with fights between players. Two red cards were given after the brawls.

Juventus lost 2-0 at home to Fiorentina, while Como edged out Parma 1-0, keeping their hopes alive for a Champions League spot.

The final round of Serie A saw all matches played on Sunday, with teams fighting to avoid relegation also in action. Pisa and Verona are already relegated, but two more teams could join them.

Cremonese narrowly avoided relegation by beating Udinese 1-0, while Lecce scored a late winner against Sassuolo to stay in the race for safety.

Bologna won 1-0 at Atalanta, securing their place in Serie A for next season.
