Odisha Chief Minister Visits Gujarat for Business Trip

Mohan Charan Majhi, the Chief Minister of Odisha, began a three-day visit to Gujarat on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. The main aim of this trip is to attract new investments and strengthen industrial growth in Odisha.

During the visit, the Chief Minister is meeting industrial leaders, business groups, and investors to showcase Odisha as a growing destination for business and manufacturing.

He is accompanied by Sampad Chandra Swain, who handles Industries, Skill Development, and Technical Education in the state, along with other senior government officials.

According to an official statement from the industries department, the discussions during the visit will focus on key sectors such as textiles, chemicals, petrochemicals, metals, downstream industries, and pharmaceuticals.

The Odisha government is trying to bring more companies and factories to the state, which could help create new jobs and boost the local economy.

Officials believe that Gujarat, being one of India’s major industrial hubs, can offer useful insights and partnerships for Odisha’s development plans.
