Rajya Sabha Chairman Expresses Pain Over Viral Video of Greeting PM Modi

Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar conveyed his pain and anguish after a video showing him greeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi with folded hands went viral on social media. Dhankhar, emphasizing that bowing and greeting is his habit, expressed concern that by circulating the video, people are deriding the tradition and culture of the country.

He clarified that he does not discriminate and greets everyone respectfully. Dhankhar lamented that the video has led to judgments about the strength of his spine and urged for respect for traditional culture.

He acknowledged being a modest person and emphasized the need to uphold cultural values without making jokes about them. The video in question shows the Chairman greeting the Prime Minister during a program in Parliament.
