Russian Missile Attack on Kiev Causes Injuries and Damage
A major Russian missile attack on Kiev resulted in at least 53 people being injured, according to the Mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitali Klitschko. The airstrike targeted areas in eastern Dniprovskyi and southeastern Darnytskyi districts, damaging a children’s hospital, an apartment building, private houses, and cars. Eighteen adults and two children were hospitalized, while others received medical treatment on-site.
The Ukrainian Air Force claimed to have intercepted all 10 ballistic missiles fired against Kiev. This incident follows a recent attack on the Ukrainian capital earlier in the week and occurred as President Volodymyr Zelensky sought additional military aid during his visit to Washington.
