Student Injured, Suspect Arrested After Georgia High School Shooting

A shooting at Warner Robins High School in Georgia left a ninth-grade student seriously injured. The incident happened only about a week after the new school year began and involved two ninth-grade students.

The shooting took place at around 2:15 p.m. inside a school bathroom. According to Sheriff Matt Moulton, the incident began with a fight between two students. The situation quickly became violent, and one student was shot.

After the shooting, the teenage suspect ran away from the school. Police officers and other law enforcement agencies from nearby areas immediately responded to the school. The school is located about 100 miles southeast of Atlanta.

The injured student suffered serious injuries, but officials said the injuries were not life-threatening. A school officer quickly provided first aid and used tourniquets to help control the student’s bleeding before emergency medical workers arrived. The student was then taken to a hospital for further treatment.

Police continued searching for the suspect after the shooting. About an hour later, officers located the teenage suspect near the school and arrested him. Authorities said there were no further incidents during the arrest.
