Tihar Jail Denies Delhi CM Kejriwal’s Wife Sunita Permission to Meet

The Tihar Jail administration has refuted allegations of denying Sunita Kejriwal permission to meet her husband, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. According to a senior jail official, all meeting slots were booked for the week, including those with CM Arvind Kejriwal scheduled for Atishi and Punjab’s CM Bhagwant Mann. As prisoners are allowed two meetings per week, they assured to reschedule Sunita Kejriwal’s meeting to the earliest available slot. The AAP alleged that the Modi government influenced the decision to cancel Sunita Kejriwal’s meeting, characterizing it as an inhumane act.

AAP’s accusation, posted on social media, questioned the denial of Sunita Kejriwal’s visit, portraying it as an attempt to treat the elected chief minister like a terrorist. Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal, currently incarcerated at Tihar jail, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 in connection to a money laundering case related to Delhi’s excise policy.
