Top Five Star signings of the 2026 Transfer Window
The 2026 summer transfer window was packed with big moves as clubs spent heavily to build stronger teams for the upcoming season. Many top players switched teams, with Premier League clubs making some of the biggest investments.
Manchester City made a lot of moves during the window. One major signing was Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea on the final day of the transfer deadline. The deal cost £125 million, tying the British record and making Fernandez the first player to be sold for over £100 million twice.
Enzo, 25, joined City on a contract until 2031. He had previously moved from Benfica to Chelsea in 2023 and played 170 games, scoring 31 goals.
Liverpool added strength to their attack by signing Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain for £123 million. The 23-year-old French player left PSG after helping them win three league titles and two Champions Leagues. He scored 39 goals in 152 games with the club.
Chelsea also made a big move, signing Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for £117 million. At just 20 years old, he became the most expensive British player ever. Rogers joined Villa in 2024 and played 125 games, scoring 31 goals. He helped Villa win the Europa League before moving to Chelsea.
Real Madrid brought in Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig for a reported €140 million. The Ivory Coast international had a great season with Leipzig, scoring 12 goals and setting up eight more. He also impressed during the World Cup with his national team.
