“Astronaut Captures Stunning Everest View from Space”

High above the Earth, as the International Space Station (ISS) passed over South Asia, NASA astronaut Zena Cardman took a stunning photo of Mount Everest and the Himalayas. The sunlight made the mountain peaks shine, giving a rare view of the world’s tallest mountains from space.

The photograph, taken from about 400 kilometres above Earth, shows the jagged peaks of the Himalayas cutting through the clouds. From this height, astronauts can see the scale and beauty of Earth in a way we rarely experience on the ground.

The image highlights not only the natural wonders of our planet but also the unique perspective astronauts have while orbiting Earth. Photos like this help people on Earth appreciate the majesty of mountains, the vastness of the Himalayas, and the beauty of our planet from space.
