Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier Fixtures Announced
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Global Qualifier match schedule has been officially released. Ten teams will take part in this important tournament, competing for the final four qualification spots in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
The Global Qualifier will be hosted by Nepal and will run from January 14 to February 1. All matches will be played in Kathmandu at two venues — the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground and the Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground.
Before the main matches begin, 10 warm-up games will be played starting on January 14, giving teams time to prepare and adjust to local conditions. The main tournament will officially start on January 18.
On the opening day of the tournament, Bangladesh will face the Netherlands, Zimbabwe will play against Papua New Guinea, and host nation Nepal will take on Ireland in the morning matches.
The teams have been divided into two groups for the league stage of the competition.
Group A consists of Bangladesh, Ireland, Namibia, Papua New Guinea, and the United States.
Group B includes Nepal, the Netherlands, Scotland, Thailand, and Zimbabwe.
The best-performing teams from this qualifier will earn a place in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. With limited spots available, the tournament is expected to be highly competitive and exciting for players and fans alike.
