India Welcomes Ceasefire Pact

The government of India has welcomed the recent ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran. The deal was reportedly helped by Pakistan. India said it hopes the conflict will end soon and stressed the importance of keeping trade routes open, especially through the Strait of Hormuz.

At the same time, India did not mention any specific countries involved in the talks and did not publicly thank Pakistan for its role in arranging the agreement. This shows that India is being careful in how it responds to the situation.

Vikram Misri is currently in Washington, where he is expected to explain India’s position in more detail.

Meanwhile, S. Jaishankar recently met the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh in Delhi. After this meeting, he will travel to Mauritius to attend a regional conference focused on the Indian Ocean region.

During this conference, he will meet leaders and officials from South Asia and West Asia. After that, he is also expected to visit the United Arab Emirates for further discussions. These meetings are part of India’s efforts to stay engaged in regional and global matters.
