AUS vs BAN: Taskin Ahmed’s Crazy Celebration After Dismissing Green Goes Viral

Bangladesh fast bowler Taskin Ahmed went wild with a quirky dance after dismissing Australia’s Cameron Green on day one of the first Test in Darwin. Green tried to flick a ball from Taskin, but it went wrong as Mushfiqur Rahim caught him at mid-wicket. Taskin celebrated by sticking out his tongue and dancing away from the pitch.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s team was struggling after losing key players like Jake Weatherald, Travis Head, and Marnus Labuschagne. Australia, led by Pat Cummins, started strong but fell behind as Bangladesh took control. At one point, Australia was 74/4, with Smith and Beau Webster trying to rebuild.

This is Bangladesh’s first Test tour in Australia since 2003, when they lost the series 2-0. They hope for better luck this time. The next Test will be in Mackay from August 22–26.

Both Tests are part of the World Test Championship (WTC) cycle 2025–27. Australia leads with an 87.5% points percentage, while Bangladesh is fourth at 58.3%. Only the top two teams at the end of the league will qualify for the WTC final in London in June 2027.

For now, Australia is comfortable in the standings, but Bangladesh faces tough competition with teams like New Zealand, India, and Sri Lanka still to play.
