Rashid Khan Joins Top Wicket-Takers After Afghanistan Win

Afghanistan star spinner Rashid Khan has entered the top 10 among the highest wicket-takers in international cricket among active players. He achieved the milestone during Afghanistan’s fourth ODI against Ireland in Belfast.

Rashid produced an impressive bowling performance, taking 3 wickets for 49 runs in his 10 overs. His contribution helped Afghanistan defeat Ireland by a big margin and complete another strong performance in the series.

With his three wickets, Rashid moved ahead of Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who has 462 international wickets. Rashid now has 464 wickets from 244 matches, putting him in ninth place among active players.

Australia’s Mitchell Starc currently leads the list of active wicket-takers with 759 wickets. Sri Lankan cricket legend Muttiah Muralitharan holds the overall record, having taken 1,347 wickets during his international career.

Rashid’s achievement is another important moment in his successful career. He has become one of Afghanistan’s most important players and is widely known for his skill as a leg-spinner. His ability to take wickets in different formats has made him a major part of Afghanistan’s bowling attack.

In the match against Ireland, the hosts won the toss and decided to field first. Afghanistan’s batsmen then produced a strong total of 343 runs for the loss of nine wickets.

Sediqullah Atal was one of Afghanistan’s best performers. He scored an impressive 143 runs and played a major role in helping his team build a big total. Ibrahim Zadran also made an important contribution by scoring 107 runs.
