BJP, ABVP Hold Marches in Jharkhand Over Democracy Issues
The BJP and its student wing, ABVP, held separate marches in Jharkhand on Tuesday (November 3, 2026). They criticized the Congress and other opposition parties for misleading people about democracy and voter list updates.
In Giridih, hundreds of BJP members joined a ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ march led by state BJP president Aditya Sahu. The march started at Jhanda Maidan and ended at Tower Chowk after covering 300 metres. Senior leaders like Babulal Marandi and Ravindra Rai also participated.
Sahu accused Congress of helping foreign forces and claimed the Modi government has helped millions through welfare schemes. He said people have lost trust in Rahul Gandhi.
Marandi alleged that Congress has misled people since 2014, first over EVMs and now voter lists. He claimed no eligible voters were removed and only Bangladeshi infiltrators were struck off.
Meanwhile, ABVP held a march in Ranchi, demanding political disagreements be resolved through constitutional means, not protests. The march started at Bapu Vatika and ended at Albert Ekka Chowk.
ABVP leaders said democracy thrives on ballots, not street power. Vaibhav Meena criticized Congress for worrying about voter lists only when transparency is enforced. Disha Ditya accused Congress of creating confusion over the voter list update process.
Prakash Tuti, ABVP state secretary, said students aim to focus on nation-building and cultural preservation.
