Manish Sisodia Won’t Appear Before Delhi Court in Excise Policy Case
Manish Sisodia, a senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, sent a letter on April 28, 2026, to Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma of the Delhi High Court stating that he will not appear in court for the Delhi excise policy case.
In his letter, Sisodia informed the court that he would not attend the proceedings related to the case.
Just a day earlier, on April 27, 2026, AAP chief and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had also written to the same judge. Kejriwal said that he too would not appear in court, either personally or through a lawyer, for the same excise policy case.
These actions by two major AAP leaders have drawn significant attention, as refusing to appear in court is unusual and could have legal consequences.
The Delhi excise policy case has remained a major political and legal issue, and these developments may further intensify the ongoing controversy.
