Thai Nationals Hit Hard in Gaza Conflict

The Hamas-Israel conflict in the Gaza Strip has taken a severe toll on Thai nationals, with the Thai Foreign Ministry reporting at least 12 deaths and 11 abductions since the conflict erupted on October 7. Additionally, eight Thai nationals have been injured. The Ministry has not yet released the names of the victims, pending notification of their families.

Over 1,000 Thai workers in Israel have sought assistance for evacuation, out of approximately 30,000 Thais residing there. Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has confirmed that the Royal Thai Air Force is on standby to evacuate Thai citizens from Israel. Multiple nationalities have been affected by the conflict, including Americans, Mexicans, Brazilians, Nepalis, and Ukrainians.
