Traffic Diversions in Pulianthope for Chennai Metro Rail Phase II Project

In an effort to alleviate traffic congestion caused by the ongoing Chennai Metro Rail Phase II project work in Pulianthope, traffic modifications have been introduced on a trial basis for one week, commencing from Saturday.

Vehicles traveling from Ayanavaram to Perambur Barracks Road and the Strahans Road junction will face restrictions at Otteri junction and will be rerouted through Cooks Road, Stephenson Road, Ambedkar College Road, Barracks Gate Road, and Perambur Barracks Road (left) to reach their intended destination.

During this period, Strahans Road will operate as one-way traffic, permitting entry from the Perambur Barracks Road and Strahans Road junction while restricting entry from the Otteri junction to Strahans Road. These modifications aim to streamline traffic flow and minimize disruptions during the Chennai Metro Rail Phase II project.
