KN Nehru Inaugurates Flyover, Reviews Lake Project

Minister K.N. Nehru on Monday inspected the possibility of starting boat rides
at Madhavaram Lake, which is being restored at a cost of ₹11.78 crore.

He also opened a newly built high-level flyover across the Puzhal reservoir
at Vadaperumbakkam. The flyover was constructed at a cost of ₹22.41 crore.

The new bridge is expected to help nearly one lakh people living in the Madhavaram
and Manali areas. It is 190 metres long and 7.5 metres wide, and allows two vehicles
to pass at the same time.

The minister also opened an animal birth control centre at Chettimedu village in Manali.
The centre was built at a cost of ₹1.61 crore. It covers 3,582 square feet and has 26 rooms.
The facility includes dog kennels, an operation theatre, a laboratory, a kitchen, storage
rooms, and a security room.
