83rd Golden Globes Celebrate Films, TV, Podcasts
The 83rd Golden Globe Awards 2026 was a star-studded night filled with big moments and surprising wins. This year’s ceremony was special because, for the first time, the Golden Globes also honoured podcasts, along with films and television shows.
The awards also featured the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category for the third time. This category recognises popular films that may not fit into the usual award sections.
Leonardo DiCaprio’s film “One Battle After Another” was one of the biggest winners of the night. The movie won Best Film (Comedy), Best Supporting Actress for Teyana Taylor, and also earned awards for Best Director and Best Screenplay for Paul Thomas Anderson.
In the drama category, Chloé Zhao’s Shakespeare-inspired film “Hamnet” won Best Film (Drama). Meanwhile, the animated Netflix movie “K-Pop Demon Hunters” continued its strong run this awards season by winning two Golden Globe trophies.
Overall, the ceremony celebrated creativity across different forms of entertainment and highlighted both popular hits and artistic achievements.
