Mark Carney Begins Four-Day India Visit

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney arrived in Mumbai on a four-day official visit to India. The main aim of his visit is to strengthen the relationship between India and Canada. The focus of the discussions will be on trade, clean and renewable energy, and cooperation in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

During his stay in Mumbai, Prime Minister Carney is scheduled to take part in several official programmes and meetings. He is also expected to address top business leaders and industry representatives. His speech will likely highlight new opportunities for partnership between companies from both countries, especially in technology, innovation, and sustainable development.

According to Akashvani’s correspondent, after completing his engagements in Mumbai, the Canadian Prime Minister will travel to New Delhi tomorrow. In the national capital, he will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.

Both Prime Ministers are expected to hold detailed talks on rebuilding and strengthening bilateral ties. Discussions will focus on increasing trade between the two countries, improving cooperation in the energy sector, and moving forward with the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). The leaders are also likely to discuss ways to create stronger economic links and promote investment.

The visit is seen as an important step toward improving diplomatic and economic relations between India and Canada, and opening new areas of cooperation for the future.
