Uttarakhand’s CM Assures Help for Rishabh Pant

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], August 8 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has assured India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant of all possible assistance after the cricketer sought the state government’s help in acquiring land to build a home and shift his base from Delhi to his native Uttarakhand.

Responding to Pant’s post on X, Dhami described the cricketer as the pride of the state and said the matter had been referred to the concerned officials. He praised Pant for his achievements and expressed appreciation for his desire to return to Uttarakhand to contribute to its development.

Pant had earlier appealed to the Chief Minister on X, explaining he had been trying for nearly three years to acquire land in Uttarakhand but hadn’t succeeded. He shared his wish to shift back to his native state to help with its growth and build a home there.

The 28-year-old Pant, who represents Delhi in domestic cricket and is a key player in India’s Test team, recently returned to the Delhi Capitals after being traded from the Lucknow Super Giants. He has also emerged as Uttarakhand’s highest taxpayer, reportedly paying ₹23.84 crore in taxes for the 2025-26 financial year.

Dhami assured Pant that officials would contact him soon and provide all necessary support to facilitate his request. Pant remains focused on his cricket commitments while looking forward to contributing to his home state’s development.
