Protests Continue Over Disappearances in Balochistan

Protests are continuing in Balochistan over cases of enforced disappearances reported in recent months. Many families say their relatives have gone missing without any clear information about where they are.

According to the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), one local family started a sit-in protest on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor highway at Sahaki Balgatar in Kech district. They took this step after one of their family members went missing. The family is demanding that the missing person be found and returned safely.

Enforced disappearances have been a long-standing issue in Balochistan. Many people in the region are angry and worried, as such incidents have continued for years. Families often say they do not get clear answers from authorities.

The protest by this family shows the growing frustration among local residents. Activists say that officials have not done enough to solve these cases or respond to people’s concerns. Because of this, protests and public anger are increasing in the area.
