Napheesa Collier led the scoring with 19 points in just 15 minutes. Five other players also reached double figures, with every player on the team contributing at least one basket. The game was a stark contrast to their earlier close match against Italy. Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, who had been rivals in college, played well together once they entered the game, showing great chemistry.

Clark finished with 10 points and nine assists, while Reese added nine points and six rebounds. Their teamwork in the first quarter helped build a significant lead.
