Three Arrested for Murder After Quarrel at Mannurpet Eatery

The Ambattur Estate police have apprehended three individuals in connection with the murder of a 24-year-old youth during a dispute at an eatery in Mannurpet. The victim, identified as S. Balachandran from Korattur and an apprentice at a private firm, was with two friends purchasing biriyani when a confrontation arose with three unidentified persons near the eatery.

The altercation escalated, leading to an attack on Balachandran, with one of the suspects stabbing him and fleeing on a motorcycle. Despite being rushed to the Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital, Balachandran was declared dead on arrival. After analyzing the CCTV footage, the police arrested C. Sankar (27) from Mogappair East, U. Venkat (27) from ICF, and Ajith (24) from Bundar Garden. The trio, with a history of criminal activity, has been placed in judicial custody.
