India’s Maritime Sector Key to National Growth
Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal has highlighted the important role of India’s maritime sector in the country’s economic and national development.
Speaking on the occasion of World Maritime Day, Sonowal said that a strong maritime sector is essential for supporting India’s long-term growth. He highlighted the government’s efforts to modernise port infrastructure, introduce policy reforms and improve support for seafarers.
