High-powered panel for structural reforms in agriculture: Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday announced a high powered committee, comprising Chief Ministers, to recommend structural reforms in agriculture, while urging the states to contribute in making India a $5 trillion economy by 2024.
In his concluding remarks at the 5th meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog, he also called for people to people contact between residents of different states, under the “Ek Bharat, Shreshth Bharat” umbrella.
The Prime Minister said global circumstances currently offer a unique opportunity to India as the country is establishing itself on global benchmarks such as “Ease of Doing Business”.
