NDA Lodges Complaint Against Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Over Pension-Related Deaths

Accusing Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary K. S. Jawahar Reddy of negligence, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) parties, comprising TDP, BJP, and JSP, have lodged a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC). The complaint urges action against the Chief Secretary for alleged deaths of 33 elderly individuals who had to trek long distances to collect their pensions.

Former TDP MP Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar, AP BJP Minority Cell president Shaik Baji, and Jana Sena party leader Daneti Sridhar submitted the complaint in New Delhi, alleging that Reddy failed to ensure pension delivery at beneficiaries’ doorsteps despite sufficient government staff. The NDA leaders further claim that Reddy’s actions were influenced by Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to inconvenience the elderly and manipulate election outcomes, thus sparking outrage and demands for accountability.
