Police Recover ₹66 Lakh Cash, Arrest Three in Theft Case

The Prakasam district police swiftly solved a theft case within 24 hours, arresting three individuals and recovering ₹66 lakh in cash. The accused, R. Rajasekhar and G. Venkata Konda Reddy, both employees of a private cash-filling firm, along with S. Mahesh, a former employee, were apprehended by Ongole Taluka police.

The theft occurred on April 18 when the two employees left the cash unattended in a vehicle parked on the roadside at Kurnool. Mahesh was identified from CCTV footage and was arrested near NSP canal in Pernamitta village, with the stolen cash in his possession.
