TN Scholarship Dispute Ends With Fund Release

The Tamil Nadu government has resolved a long-standing issue over delayed scholarship payments by releasing ₹23.95 lakh to PhD scholar Bharathidasan Raman on September 19.

Raman is pursuing his PhD in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine at the National University of Malaysia. He had raised concerns over delays in receiving his scholarship payments for the second year of his research programme.

According to the scholar, the delay had created serious difficulties for his studies and research work. He said the lack of financial support had affected his ability to continue his research and had put his academic work at risk.
