Dense Fog Disrupts Trains and Flights in North
Dense fog in the northern parts of the country has disrupted train and flight services today. According to the Delhi Division of Indian Railways, more than 20 trains heading to Delhi are running over three hours late due to poor visibility.
Air travel has also been badly affected by the foggy weather. Delhi Airport officials said that 118 flights were cancelled today because of dense fog and low visibility conditions.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation shared an advisory on social media, asking passengers to check their flight status regularly and stay in touch with their airlines for updates.
The Ministry has also directed airlines to strictly follow passenger service rules. These include providing timely information about delays or cancellations, offering meals to passengers during long delays, arranging rebooking or refunds for cancelled flights, and addressing passenger complaints quickly.
