Telangana Minister Predicts Decline of Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS)

Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, on May 23, forecasted a significant defeat for the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) in the upcoming Parliament elections, predicting that the party would diminish to only the family of its chief, K. Chandrashekhar Rao. Reddy criticized the BRS, likening its fate to the collapse of the Medigadda barrage due to corruption and the rejection of family rule by Telangana society.

He urged BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao to refrain from derogatory remarks against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and emphasized the need for respecting political independence. Reddy highlighted alleged corruption within KCR’s family, referencing the recent arrest of BRS MLC K. Kavitha and questioned the legitimacy of the central investigating agencies’ actions without involvement in corruption. Additionally, he accused the BRS government of disregarding regulations in constructing offices and hospitals, pointing out violations in permission and floor limits.
