TSPSC Chairman Submits Resignation Amidst Criticism Over Paper Leaks

Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) Chairman B. Janardhan Reddy has submitted his resignation following criticism over the leakage of question papers and exam cancellations during his tenure. However, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has not yet accepted the resignation, denying reports to the contrary.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed dissatisfaction with TSPSC’s functioning during Janardhan Reddy’s tenure, marked by question paper leaks and exam cancellations. The leakage impacted exams like Assistant Engineer (AE) and Group-I Preliminary. The recent cancellation of the Group-1 Preliminary exam, conducted in October 2022, drew criticism and protests from unemployed youth.

The TSPSC Chairman’s resignation is seen as a response to the government’s dissatisfaction and an effort to revamp the commission. The government, led by the Chief Minister, aims to fulfill its promise to conduct transparent exams and address the vacancies in government departments.
