Russia Strikes Ukraine Industrial Sites, Killing Three

Ukrainian officials reported that Russia targeted industrial areas in southeastern and central Ukraine overnight, resulting in three deaths. The attacks also caused power outages affecting thousands in the northern region of Chernihiv.

In a statement on Telegram, regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha revealed that Russian forces struck cities including Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The strikes involved missiles, drones, and artillery, damaging business and warehouse premises in Dnipro. Three people were killed, and six others were injured in the area.

The conflict, now over four-and-a-half years, has seen both sides targeting economic and logistical sites to weaken each other’s war efforts. Ukraine’s air force reported that Russia used multiple Oniks anti-ship missiles, ballistic missiles, four cruise missiles, and 212 drones during the overnight attacks.

Damage was also reported in Pavlohrad and Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. Additionally, a Russian attack on an energy facility left nearly 100,000 residents without power. Governor Vitalii Diakivnych described a “massive” Russian strike in Poltava, targeting an industrial enterprise and critical infrastructure.

The ongoing conflict continues to impact civilians and infrastructure across Ukraine.
